Biography

German cross-country mountain biker Mike Kluge did not finish the Olympic course at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 1990, he won the overall World Cup, and was also World Champion in 1985 and 1987 (as an amateur) and 1992 (as a professional). In 1993, Kluge added a silver medal at the Worlds. Domestically, he won 12 titles.

In 2005, Kluge became team manager of the mountain bike team Focus and a sports official with the International Cycling Union (UCI). He also owned the company Focus bikes and became development manager at this company.
