Biography

Warren Brittingham was from Chihuahua, Mexico, and attended Christian Brothers’ College as a boarder with his cousin, Juan. He played forward. Brittingham was born in St. Louis, but grew up in Chihuahua, Mexico, where his family moved in 1887, when he was less than a year old and where his father George and uncle John Francis Brittingham had large business interests. After graduating from Christian Brothers’, Brittingham settled in El Paso, Texas, where he owned a ranch and worked as a manager in several shoe shops and orthopedic appliances stores, before setting up his own business, the Brittingham Shoe Factory.
