Biography

Renzo Ostino was an Italian rower who finished fifth in coxed pairs at the 1960 Roma Olympics, alongside Giancarlo Piretta and Vincenzo Bruno. Before the Roma Games, Ostino competed at the 1958 European Championships in Poznań, Poland, with Giovanni Anselmi and Bruno, and won silver behind Germany. The following year, at the Europeans in Macon, France, the crew of Ostino, Anselmi, and Bruno won Italy’s only medal. Domestically this crew was Italian champion consecutively from 1956-59. Ostino was President of the Canottieri Armida Torino from 1992-2000.
