Biography

Although born in Chicago, Sue Gossick learned her diving at a California high school. In 1964 she placed fourth in the Olympic springboard and, after finishing only third at the 1968 U.S. Trials, she was a surprise winner of the gold medal in Mexico. Miss Gossick won three AAU titles and was the Pan American Games champion in 1967.
