Biography

Herb Wildman was the goalkeeper on the U.S. water polo team at both the 1932 and 1936 Olympics. At the 1932 Games he stopped all eight free throws awarded against the U.S., and this prove to be a vital factor in the Americans winning the bronze medal. Wildman played for the Los Angeles AC for nine years and, before retiring from business, he owned and operated a garage and service station in Los Angeles.
