Biography

Frank Handley was the winner of three Northern 880y titles (1935-37) and twice was runner-up at the AAA Championships (1936-37). He finished second in the 880y at the 1938 Empire Games but was eliminated in the semi-finals at the 1936 Olympics and in the heats at the 1938 European Championships. In the 1938 British Empire Games 4×440y Relay he also finished second (with Brian MacCabe, Bill Roberts, and the non-Olympian Henry Pack). In the 1938 British Empire Games 440y he was eliminated in the heats.

Personal Best: 880y – 1:52.9 (1937).
