Biography

Racewalker Werner Heyer was disqualified in the 20 km walk at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. He was East German Champion in the 20 km in 1977 and 1982, was runner-up in 1983 and third in 1979. He earned 14 international caps with the East German national team from 1977-85.
