Biography

Petra Lobinger was a German triple jumper who failed to reach the final at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She was the German champion in 1992 (outdoor) and from 1996-98 (indoor and outdoor). Her best international result was a fifth place at the 1997 World Championships.

Lobinger was married to non-Olympian long jumper Wolfgang Schneider, and later to pole vaulter Tim Lobinger. Their son Lex-Tyger Lobinger became a soccer professional at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
