Biography

High jumper Fritz Köpke placed 11th at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games. Domestically he was German Champion in 1929 and 1931 and participated in 10 international matches. After finishing school Köpke first attended a preparatory school with the goal to become a forester, but he then took over the family business of hardware and household goods in Plathe. He also owned valuable breeding pigeons.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.92 (1928).
