Biography

Elis Johansson was a Swedish track and field athlete who represented IF Thor. A specialist in middle-distance running, Johansson ran in the 800 metres at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but was eliminated in his heat. He later moved to the United States, living in Ohio for a brief time before moving to Newark, New Jersey, by 1935. Johansson worked as a waiter at a country club and died in Summit, New Jersey, in 1956.
