Biography

At the time of the 1928 Olympic Winter Games, Jorge Arturo Gramajo lived in Paris, probably as a diplomat at the Argentinian Embassy. He had a reputation as a playboy, and was well acquainted with Hollywood greats like Ginger Rogers. Many sources also credit him with the invention of a dish called Revuelto de Gramajo (Scrambled Eggs Gramajo), which remains very popular in Argentina and Uruguay. Gramajo was a founding member of the Argentina Ski Club and the Argentinian Association for Skiing and Hiking (FASA). His father was mayor of Buenos Aires in 1915-16.
