Biography

Roberto Grigis was an Italian slalom skier in the 1980s. He débuted in the World Cup in 1980 at 18, and obtained his best result, a fourth place in the slalom at Kitzbühel in 1981. In the overall World Cup, in which he competed for eight years, his best placement was 55th in 1989, while in the slalom he placed 19th in 1984 and 1989.

Grigis’ only major international tournament was the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Games where, after finishing 12th after the first slalom run, he fell in the second run. Hindered by recurring back pain, he left competition at 29 and later worked for the Stöckli company in Italy.
