Biography

Heinrich, brother of Franz Isser, was an Austrian bobsledder who participated in the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. He came 12th with Paul Aste in the two-men bob and tenth with the four-men Austria I crew. Isser won two World Championship bronze medals, in 1958 and 1962. In 1962 the four-man crew consisted of Heinrich and his brothers Franz, Josef and Fritz. Isser was also a luger, and at European Championships he won two gold medals (doubles in 1952 and 1955) and three silvers (doubles in 1951 and singles and doubles in 1953). Isser was a butcher by profession.
