Biography

Choi Yeong-Ja was a South Korean professional tennis player. Choi was an accomplished singles and doubles player, represented South Korea in the Fed Cup, and won a gold medal at the Asian Games.

Choi started playing tennis when she was 10. Her first ITF singles win came in November 1993 in Bangkok, beating Jeon Mi-Ra. Choi won seven more ITF finals, with her last coming in June 2000 in Incheon. As a doubles player she won 12 ITF tournaments from May 1994 to July 2002.

Choi competed in the singles tournament at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
