Biography

Martin Boonzaayer was an American judoka who competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games as a heavyweight. Boonzaayer competed at three World Championships and was a seven-time USA Champion. He won bronze medals in 2003 at the Pan American Games and the Pan American Championships. His biggest victories include the 1999 and 2000 US Open, the 2002 USA Fall Classic and the Rendez-Vous Canada, and the 2003 Benito Juárez tournament. After retiring from competitive judo Boonzaayer opened his own real estate business.
