Biography

Lennart Norberg started playing hockey with Timrå IK in 1967 and played there until 1979 when he joined IF Björklöven, where he played until the end of his career in 1982. He never won a Swedish title with them, his best finish at the Swedish championships was as a runner-up in 1982 with Björklöven. Internationally, Norberg was capped 84 times with the Swedish national team. He won an Olympic bronze in 1980, silver at the 1981 World Championship and bronze at the 1979 World Championship. He also won silver at the 1981 European Championship and bronzes at the 1978 and 1979 European Championships. Norberg was awarded the Stora Grabbars Märke (Big Boys’ Badge) #108 in ice hockey.
