Biography

East German speed skater Harald Norden from Chemnitz competed at the 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Olympics, placing 31st in the 1,500 metres event. He never won a national title, and his only other known result was a fourth place at the East German All-Around Championships in 1957. By profession, Norden was a fitter at Wismut in Chemnitz.

Personal Bests: 500 - 44.3 (1960); 1500 - 2.19.9 (1960); 5000 - 8.52.8 (1960).
