IF Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique

Description

After the Fédération Internationale de Trampoline (FIT) managed to get its sport on the Olympic Program for the Sydney 2000 Games, the governing body became part of the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), which also governs acrobatic and rhythmic gymnastics. At the Olympics, only an individual event (one for men, and one for women) is contested. Karen Cockburn of Canada has won a medal at each of the first three Olympics in which the sport was contested, earning two silvers and one bronze medal. Aleksandr Moskalenko (RUS) is the only champion in the sport to add a silver to his gold medal of the 2000 Games.
