Mario Schaden was an Austrian ice hockey Olympian in 1998 at Nagano and 2002 at Salt Lake City. A right wing, he finished 14th and 12th with the Austrian team respectively. He earned 60 international caps and scored four points (three goals and one assist).
Domestically, Schaden played with EV Zeltweg (1988-89), Kapfenberger SV (1989-90), and Klagenfurter AC (1990-2007). He helped Klagenfurt win the Austrian national titles in 1991, 2000, 2001 and 2004. Schaden later turned to coaching and became a firefighter by profession.
