Biography

Annie Driscoll was a speed skater who competed for the United States at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She represented the Midway Skating Club of Saint Paul, Minnesota. She won the 2001 US Allround Championships, having placed second a year earlier. She competed in the World Allround Championships on two occasions, her best ranking being 14th in 2002. Driscoll’s Olympic participation was long uncertain, as she was only on the reserve list and wasn’t even asked to measure for a US Olympic uniform. Only days before the 3,000 m did she hear she was going to be an Olympian. Driscoll married Nick Pearson, who speed skated at the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympics.
