Biography

In 1936 the Royal Italian Rowing Federation established a canoe section. In the same year Italy competed at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the first in which canoe was on the programme. Their only paddler was 25-year-old Elio Sasso-Sant, who finished a respectable eighth in the kayak 10,000 metres.
