Biography

Steffi Frühwirt was a German ice hockey defender participating in two Winter Olympics finishing sixth in 2002 at Salt Lake City and fifth in 2006 at Torino. She also played in two World Championships and won 185 international caps, scoring 42 goals and 18 assists.

At club level, Frühwirt played with TuS Geretsried (until 1997), ESG Esslingen (1997-98), TV Kornwestheim (1998-2007), and OSC Berlin (2007-09). She helped Geretsried win the German national title in 1994, Esslingen win it in 1998, and Kornwestheim every year from 2001-04.
