Biography

In the Three Day Event at the 1976 Olympics, Mary Tauskey placed 20th and, as the high scorer on the U.S. team, her result was not taken into account when calculating the team scores. Riding Marcus Aurelius, Miss Tauskey had fared reasonably well in the dressage and endurance phases, but two refusals in the show jumping phase dropped her well down the field in the final placings. Mary Tauskey graduated from Ursuline Academy in Dallas in 1973 and was a member of the winning Three Day Event team at the 1975 Pan-American Games.
