Biography

Renzo Bonivento competed in show jumping at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Born on Sardinia, he was a cavalry officer at the military school in Pinerolo and was the leader of the Savoia Cavalleria regiment. Bonivento graduated in law, but became a well-known journalist, focusing on horse events. In the 1950s and 60s he wrote many articles in the review Cavallo Italiano, the official publication of the Italian Equestrian Federation. For many years he was also an expert commentator on equestrian events in Italy.
