Biography

Miguel Faria Leal was a Portuguese show jumping rider who competed at multiple international events during the 1990s. Leal participated at two editions of the World Equestrian Games (1994, 1998) and three editions of the European Championships (1995, 1999, 2001). Along with compatriot António Vozone, he represented Portugal in the individual equestrian competition at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics where Leal tied for 58th. In 1993 he moved to live in Normandy, France where he coached and bred horses at his family stables.
