Biography

Miyako Sumiyoshi was a sprinter who competed at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, but died only a few years later, at only 30 years of age. Sumiyoshi had competed in the World Sprint Championships in both 2013 and 2014, finishing 13th both years. She also competed at the Single Distance World Championships in 2012, 2013, and 2014, but never managed a top 10.

Personal Bests: 500 – 37.49 (2013); 1000 – 1:14.66 (2013).
