Biography

Pierre Moussié and his brother, Edmond, were both avid sailors and competed for France at the 1924 (Edmond) and 1928 (Pierre) Olympics. Their brother, Gabriel, was also a top yachtsman, and was President of Arcachon Yacht Club. Pierre lived his entire life in Bordeaux, where he worked as an importer, especially of grains and flours. He served as President of the Bordeaux Cereal Importers Syndicate. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and helped develop Bordeaux as a port city, as did his brother Edmond. Pierre Moussié also served on the Société pour la Défense.
