Biography

German road cyclist Viola Paulitz participated in two Olympic Games. At Seoul in 1988 she finished 13th in the road race, and at Barcelona in 1992 she placed 19th. In 1989, 1992 and 1996 she won the national road title but was not nominated for the 1996 Atlanta Games. In 1987, she was the first female German cyclist to win a stage at the Tour de France Féminine. In 1988, she won the national track title in the points race.
