Biography

Erik Andersen was a prolific Danish amateur cyclist who competed in races during the 1920s. Andersen had his first victory in 1923, winning the individual time trial at the Nordic Championships in København. One year later he became the national amateur road race champion and competed in the road race at the 1924 Paris Olympics. One of his biggest wins came in 1925 when he won the Fyen Rundt one-day race, one of the oldest races in Europe. Andersen continued to race throughout the rest of the decade amassing multiple podium finishes, including third place at the national road race in 1930.
