Donald Christian later became the owner of The Camera Shop at Heritage Quay in Antigua. He belonged the St. John’s Lodge, and was a past-president of the Lion’s Club. Christian served as President of the Antigua and Barbuda Olympians Association. His son also competed in the Olympics, but in athletics. Donald Christian died in a motorcycle accident when he was hit by a car.
