Mario Margalef was a Uruguayan cyclist who represented the national team in the early 1970s. In 1972 Margalef was selected to ride in the road race at the München Olympics, but did not finish the course. His brother Miguel was also a cyclist who competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, and his nephew Tomás rode on the track at the 2004 Athina Games.
