Biography

Hans Michalsky was a road and track cyclist who finished sixth at the 1,000 metres time trial at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. He won this event five times at the West German nationals. In 1975 he came in third at the West German amateur road race, and in 1977 he placed second. In 1976 he won the Tour de Berlin. Michalsky was a professional soldier by profession and founded a cycling shop in 1982 at Erkrath.
