Pasqualino Moretti competed as an amateur cyclist throughout his brief career, winning the GP Fiera del Perdono in 1968 and the Milano-Bologna one-day race in 1970. One year later Moretti just missed out on a medal at the UCI Road World Championships when he came fourth in the team time trial. This performance earned him a place on the Olympic team for the same event in München, where the Italians finished ninth. He was only 27-years-old when he retired from the sport in 1974.
