Biography

Prior to the 1928 Olympics, Marcello Neri had won the Tour du Casentino in both 1924 and 1925 and the Coupe Zucchi in 1927. After the Olympics, he won the Trophée Melinda for the Tour d’Ombrie in 1929. He raced Milano-San Remo in 1931, placing 31st. His brother, Colombo Neri, was also a top racer, finishing second at the Tour de Toscane in 1928, and riding the Giro d’Italia in 1931.
