Biography

Prior to the 1976 Olympics Jorge Pérez rode in the Peace Race three times – 1973, 1975 and 1976 – placing 27th in 1976 for his best finish. He would ride that event again in 1978 (finishing 25th), 1980, when he did not finish, and 1982, when he finished 47th. At the Tour of Cuba, Pérez won the title in 1981 after placing second in 1979 and 1980.
