Mihály Rusovszky started his cycling career with Világosság KK in 1911. He won the national 100km road race in 1919, but the following year switched to track racing and won the national 10km title that year. In 1923 Rusovszky won the mountain championship and participated in the World Championships at Zürich. He competed in the road race at the 1924 Paris Olympics, finishing 51st. Rusovszky moved to MTK that same year, but was banned for a year after a confrontation with the national head coach. After finishing his racing career, Rusovszky opened a bicycle and repair shop.
