Biography

Nathan Sheafor competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in the team time trial. Sheafor competed in both the road race and the team time trial at the 1990 and 1991 World Championships. He was US Champion in the individual time trial in 1989 and the team time trial in 1990. Sheafor won the GC (general classification) at the 1987 Vuelta de Bisbee, after winning stage one. He also won stage five at the 1991 Tour Du Pont.

Sheafor studied glassworks at the University of Kansas. He later settled in Oregon where he co-founded The Glass Forge Gallery and Studio, which makes custom arts glassware. Sheafor studied as a glass apprectice under Steven Smyers, and also studied at the Penland School of Arts and Crafts in North Carolina under Dmitri Michaelides.
