Biography
South African cyclist Fred Short represented the Paarl Athletics and Cycling Club during the 1920s. In 1928 Short was the nation’s lone representative in cycling at the Amsterdam Olympics. He finished 19th in the individual road race, almost 30 minutes behind the race winner.
