Biography

Josef Steger was a member of the German team pursuit cycling team at the 1928 Amsterdam Games. The team was eliminated in the quarter-finals by the eventual champions Italy. Steger competed for RV Union Wanderer Augsburg. His brother Karl also was an amateur cyclist and they occupied first and second place in the 1932 German 25-km Championship.
