Tapani Vuorenhela

After finishing as the runner-up at the 1969 Finnish road race championships Tapani Vuorenhela went on to win the race two years later. This performance earned Vuorenhela a place on the Olympic team for the München Games, where he competed in the road race, although he did not finish the course. During his cycling career he also won a national title on the track in 1971, along with multiple bronze medals at the Nordic Championships from 1969 to 1971.
