Biography

Emile Waldteufel attended college at the City College of San Francisco, graduating in 1966. He later settled briefly in Massachusetts, staying at a youth hostel in Littleton, where he raced for the Century Road Club of America (CRCA). In 1972 he was California State Champion on the road. Waldteufel was a professional chef who would cook for a few months and make enough money to go train and race for several months. He specialized in French cuisine and later was head chef at Rendezvous, a French bistro in Santa Rosa, California.
