Biography

Marie Chevalier-Brun was a member of the Société de sport de Compiègne, with the 1900 Olympic golf tournament held at the Compiègne Club. She shot 80 for nine holes to finish 10th and last. Marie Chevalier was the daughter of Martial Elie Simon Chevalier (1816-1892), who was, at various times, the consul général de France to Canada, Italy, and Switzerland, a ministre plénipotentiaire, and an officer of the légion d’honneur. She married Armand Emile Brun (1849-1929) on 27 February 1888.
