Biography

Starting from 1930 Ferenc Turcsányi played hockey in the colors of Amateur HC, BBTE, Bp. Postás and MTK. During this time, he won the championship four times (1935, 1936, 1937, 1954). Between 1936 and 1948 he appeared six times for the Hungarian national team. He took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he only played in the match against Japan.

In 1939 he obtained a doctorate in law at the Pázmány Péter University of Budapest. Between 1939 and 1950 he worked at the Budapest City Hall. From 1950 until his retirement in 1976, he worked in the construction industry.
