Biography

Gian Singh was a halfback who played for Malaya at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic hockey tournament. Singh played for Pahang from 1949-52, Selangor in 1952-54, and South Malaya in 1955. He toured Sumatra with the Malayan Sikhs as vice-captain in 1954, and toured Hong Kong with the Malayan Indian team in 1955. Singh was a police inspector who was educated at the King Edward VII School in Taiping.
