Biography

Gina Buggy played basketball, hockey (field), and lacrosse at Ursinus College, graduating in 1981. She earned All-American honors in both hockey and lacrosse. Buggy played for the US at the 1983 World Cup and the 1984 Olympics, and competed at the 1981 and 1983 National Sports Festivals. She also played for the US national team in lacrosse in 1980-81. Buggy later became a field hockey coach, first as an assistant at Swarthmore College, and then at Rider College. She eventually became field hockey coach and athletic director at Episcopal Academy in a Philadelphia suburb. In 2013 she was inducted into the Montgomery County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
