Biography
Besides his Olympic team foil bronze, Lajos Somodi also won the team foil gold at the 1955 World Festival of Youth and Students (precursor to the Universiade). Somodi won his only Hungarian title in 1956. By profession Somodi was a firefighter, working with the Budapest Fire Brigade.
