Biography

Héctor López coached Trouville Club from 1932-54. He later coached the Uruguayan national team at the 1956 and 1960 Olympics. Internationally he also led Uruguay to the 1955 South American Championships, helping them finish second at that tournament in 1958 and third in 1939-41. With Sporting Club del Uruguay he coached them to the 1958 South American Championship of Champion Clubs. He was twice a Federal Champion, with Trouville in 1945 and Stockolmo in 1954. López worked as a journalist for El Diario and was a radio commentator.
