Biography

A promising right back from América, Terezo was selected for the Brazilian Olympic outfit, which qualified for the Munich Olympics. The squad didn’t fare well, as it lost to Denmark and Iran, though drawing with eventual finalist Hungary. Terezo never was selected for the “Seleção”, the senior Brazilian squad. He eventually played 44 matches in the highest Brazilian league, scoring 1 goal. He notably competed for Portuguesa (from São Paulo), but also played for Figueirense and Sampaio Corrêa. He continued to play with lower league teams well into the 1980s. Terezo died of pneumonia, at age 59.
