Biography

László Domonkos started his sports career as a goalkeeper with BTC, and in 1904 moved to MTK and played one game in their championship-winning team. In the 1907/08 season, he became MTK’s number one goalkeeper, and was also voted Footballer of the Year. He then went on to win four championship silver medals in succession between 1910 and 1913, before a move to Ferencváros in 1914. Between 1906-12, Domonkos won 21 Hungarian international caps, and was a member of the 1912 Stockholm Olympic team. In World War I, he suffered severe foot injuries and was invalided out of service.
