Biography

Rudolf Jeny started his sports career in Kispest AC, then later moved to MTK, where he won two championship titles (1923/24, 1924/25) and one Hungarian Cup (1925). In 1924 he was chosen as Hungarian footballer of the year. From 1919-26, he was capped 21 times, scoring three goals, and was a member of the 1924 Olympic team.

After finishing his active career, Jeny worked as a coach, both at Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisboa, winning the Portuguese championship twice with the latter. After World War II, he moved back to Hungary, where he worked as a national coach for the U-21 team in 1957-58.
